Q: Could you describe a day in the life of the Supply Chain team at Long Grove?
A: Every product that comes to market depends on a variety of components, and the supply chain can become very complex. With pharmaceuticals, it’s especially important to maintain a consistent inventory of finished drug products and the components that make up these finished goods. We also need to ensure that our R&D teams have a consistent supply of materials they need for drug development. Our work is both responsive and proactive, and the forecasting we do is critical to making sure that there are ultimately enough products ready and waiting for patients who need them.
Q: What do you value most about being part of the Long Grove team?
A: Long Grove has a culture of trust that I deeply value. This is a company that cultivates transparency and encourages strong working relationships across teams. The Supply Chain team here is full of some of the most genuine people I’ve met in our industry.
Q: What motivates you?
A: I’ve worked in two of the most essential human industries – pharmaceuticals and food! Everyone needs quality food and quality health care, and there’s an urgency and excitement to being part of a team that meets those needs. When we find ways to work more efficiently or help make a new product available, we’re improving someone’s quality of life. It’s rewarding to know that when I do my job well, it makes a tangible difference for others.
